BACKGROUND
Wintershall was established to spread the Christian message to those of all faiths and none through biblical drama. We perform 3 plays each year – The Passion of Jesus, The Life of Christ and the Nativity. Our objective as a charity is to educate.
A few years ago, we identified a real need for new education resources for RE teaching as there was a lack of help available for teachers who were struggling to deliver the RE Curriculum. In 2017, our Education programme was set up to develop RE resources for schools drawing upon the rich source material provided by Wintershall’s plays and making Religious Education exciting again by bringing the Bible to life.
What we continue to offer:
• The Life of Christ production
• Actor-led school assemblies - specially trained actors perform short drama pieces in schools
• Themed workshops – using the animals and landscape at Wintershall to explore the Christian story
• Inset and retreat days for staff – here at Wintershall or at schools
• Online Materials and resources – on our dedicated Education website for use by teachers in the Classroom https://www.wintershall.org.uk/wintershall-education
• Adaptable resources for community and family groups
If you are interested, please send your CV to admin@wintershall.org.uk by the 9th of June.
