Part Time Volunteer Fundraiser
The Trustees of Wintershall CIO are seeking to appoint an experienced volunteer fundraiser to raise funds for the Charity starting on 1st September. This an unpaid role; reasonable travelling expenses will be reimbursed.
The Passion of Jesus is performed every Good Friday in Trafalgar Square London to 20,000 people in the Square, as well as being live-streamed to hundreds of thousands across the globe. This is a free event open to all, in the most prominent public space in the whole of the country. Featuring realistic scenes and a moving crucifixion and resurrection, The Passion of Jesus is an unforgettable Easter experience, embracing those of all faiths and none. It is expensive to produce and we need to raise substantial funds to support it in a sustainable basis in the coming years.
The successful candidate will be an experienced fundraiser with extensive knowledge of raising funds for Christian charities, and passionate about Wintershall’s productions and its mission to bring the Bible story to life.
We are looking for someone who is confident in approaching charities, working on their own initiative and writing bids for funding applications. Our cast and crew are made up of many incredible volunteers, who give their time freely; so we are looking for a candidate who is a strong team member but who can also work independently when required. The volunteer fundraiser can work from home but must also be available for occasional meetings with Wintershall office staff. This role will require a commitment of 1 day per week, on average, from 1 September until the end of February 2024. If this is of interest please email us your details: admin@wintershall.org.uk.
